Myself, my daughter and her friend went on the People-to-People trip to Cuba over spring break 2018. We really loved the trip and would truly like to return on a future trip with our whole family and other friends. My daughter, her friend Rose Ashley and I independently all gave 5 stars for the trip on the end evaluation. Our tour guide Joannis Diaz "Toury," driver Boris and Osvaldo and Baby were all fantastic! We loved Muraleando and all of the wonderful people we met! I thought that volunteering at this community center was going to be the worst part of the trip because it may be a "fake" way to qualify for an American People-to-People trip and was going to take away our time to be touring Havana, etc. - however, it turned out to be the most rewarding part of the trip - we all truly loved it and were amazed at the "giving with nothing expected in return" feeling from everyone there. Happiness and contentment all around; amazing food, people and sense of being accepted and appreciated. By far the best birthday party I have ever had - cakes and a 9- person band playing for us - truly appreciated it! We really loved seeing Havana, Cienfuegos, & Trinidad - learned so much and met other great people on our travels, but when I think back on our trip I remember mostly the people and experiences at Muraleanado, and of course our great tour guide, driver, and host family.
