I brought in my DBX 166 dual compressor/limiter/gate in for repair. All the push button switches had become sticky and needed to be replaced. They told me a it would be a few weeks and they would call me when it is completed. After 8 weeks, and never hearing from them, I called them. They told me it was ready. I went down there to get it when I noticed one of the push buttons was missing. When I brought it to the techs attention he looked like a 'deer in the headlights'. He did not have an answer. He later insisted that it came in that way; yet there were no notes on the work order documenting that when I brought it in. He even remembers the unit when I brought it in because he and 2 other guys started laughing about it. (They are laughing? Sounds like crappy customer service to me) He even admitted that all buttons were there when he saw it. His professional answer was "I don't know what happened". He then charged me the full amount with no apology, no discounted price, or any way to make this right. Really bad customer service. The place is not very well organized. It is a mess in there. They probably lost the button in the pile of dead cables lying on the floor. They lost a good customer. In the previous 6 months, I bought a pair of over-priced headphones, a 6 channel headphone amp that was $30 over online pricing, and various cables. I figured I wanted to give my money to a local business instead of a chain. But when a chain offers better customer service and is polite to me, they will always get my business. These people are just rude and arrogant.
