'Nuestra Frontera: Our South Bay Families at the Border' displays 250 years of history based on interviews, photographs and records. BONITA — The history of South Bay families over the course of more than two centuries — from the first recorded Spanish exploration of present-day California to the Chicano movement — is on display at the Bonita Museum & Cultural Center. Based on more than 50 interviews and about 2,000 archival photos, as well as census and genealogy records, 'Nuestra Frontera: Our South Bay Families at the Border' showcases the stories of the multi-ethnic, Spanish-speaking families who have lived in the San Diego-Tijuana region for more than eight generations.
