Photo by Chris Jennewein California's top water official joined local political and business leaders Thursday in calling for more aggressive public efforts to save water amid what may become the worst drought in centuries. 'Extreme, never-before conservation measures are needed across the Southwest,' said Wade Crowfoot, California's Natural Resources Secretary. Crowfoot praised San Diego's efforts over three decades to invest in new water supplies, including desalination, expanded reservoirs and recycling.
